Tiled Installation of Officers
Officers: Formal Attire

From the Master:

As my term as master begins I would like to thank the members of smithtown lodge # 1127 for their vote of confidence in electing me master for the ensuing year. I hope I can live up to all your expectations and desires.

This year we are going to make an extra strong push for all of our officers and members to get back to our masonic roots by performing the ritual to the best of there ability and perform their lodge duties with the utmost efficiency. We have a very strong line and I encourage all to stop by and join in.

If any brothers have any news of interest for the lodge or ideas for the upcoming year, please get in touch with me. I am planning for a very busy year which will include lectures on masonic enlightenment. the R.W. Lawrence M. Gordon has also offered to give talks on masonic subjects from around the world which I am sure will be very interesting. Please support the lodge by attending our meetings and functions, I cannot stress the importance of this if we are to remain strong and unified.

Before I close this message I would like to congratulate all of my officers on there new stations and places and I am looking forward to working with all of you this year.

Till next time, I wish you all a good summer and will be looking forward to seeing you soon.

From the Secretary:

Brothers, it is an honor and a privileged to be elected secretary of Smithtown Lodge. One thing you can also do to make the lodge's business more efficient is to pay your dues in a timely manner. Note that according to our recently passed bylaws change, the time period for possibly being unaffiliated for non-payment of dues is decreased from two years in arrears to one year in arrears. This means that if you still have not paid your 2009 dues, you may be subject to unaffiliation at the end of this year (2010). No one in the lodge has any desire to unaffiliate any Brother, however, the lodge bears great expenses keeping Brothers on the rolls who do not pay their dues in a timely manner.

The Master through the relief committee is available to consider possibly temporarily reducing or waiving their dues payments for Brothers. Feel free to contact him or another Brother of the lodge to contact him on your behalf should you be in financial hardship.
